Oil Painting for Beginners

23rd May, 30th May, 6th June, 13th June and 20th June 2024

Learn the art of oil painting. This five week course is aimed at artists who are new to oil painting or those who would like to develop their skills further. The course will include all the information you need to get started. You will experiment with different methods of applying oil paint, you will learn how to mix colours, and the role of oil mediums. The course will cover the basics of still life, landscape and portraiture and you will have the opportunity to produce a final painting of your choice of subject.

Please note, low odour solvent will be used on this course so those with any sensitivity to this should not attend.
